In Act of Love, Rosemary Haughton says that in certain circumstances “the decision of faith can only be an entrance into a paradox . But, once entered, the paradox becomes an illumination, the darkness of the mentally impossible is luminous with a sense beyond the achievement of reason alone” (p. 15).
